In 1906, gun designs designed by the makers of Colt guns, Browning, Luger, Savage, Knoble, Bergmann, White-Merrill and Smith & Wesson, began to be tested, experimented in the American military.

One design, which is owned by Samuel Colt was the best product at the trial which started on March 3, 1911. The model was then popularly known as the Colt 1911 (ninetenth-eleven)

In these trials, the Colt design passed the gun firing 6000 rounds with continuous shooting per-100 grain bullet, with a 5-minute rest period, and gun cleaning every 1,000 rounds.

Once, passing these tests. The gun was mass produced, and given a code / serial Colt Model 1911 A1 (or the M1911-A1). Since then, the design of the gun did not (or not) never changed until now. The Colt 1911, often dubbed "A Mother of All Pistol"

So, if you see the words, eq: '.. found a variety of weapons and revolvers FN .. "was wrong. Most of us, Indonesian people often show respect 'gun' as 'FN'. In fact FN is a name (brand) manufacturer of weapons in Belgium, 'Fabrique Nationalle' not the type of weapon.

FN term often mistakenly interpreted as a type of handgun. In fact FN is a brand gun. Not the type of weapon. Just like the brand (manufacturer), other weapons such as Colt, Smith & Wesson, Winchester, etc..

Fabrique Nationalle (FN) also produces a lot of other weapons like the FN - FAL, FN - FNC, FN - Minimi, etc..We would often hear the word 'gun' or 'revolver'. Unfortunately, many of us still often misunderstand the difference pistols and revolvers as a word that contains the same meaning.

In 1839, 1848 and 1850, Samuel Colt continued to register and obtain a patent for his concept of a revolving gun currently known as revolvers.

The gun, believed to be designed by Samuel Colt and John Browning who designed the legendary Colt 1911 pistol in 1887.

The design of a weapon with a magazine system was initially designed for the American soldiers who feel overwhelmed using a .38 caliber revolver in the resistance against the Moro tribes in the Philippines.

With the new design and larger diameter bullet (cal. 45), gun taken from French 'pistolet' is designed to provide power hit (stopping power) is larger than .38 caliber revolver which was used by American soldiers.
