Wow ... this gun is incredible .... very lightweight, accurate, safe ... Glock. . including me ... ...
In 1906, gun designs designed by the makers of Colt guns, Browning, Luger, Savage, Knoble, Bergmann, White-Merrill and Smith & Wesson, began to be tested, experimented in the American military.
One design, which is owned by Samuel Colt was the best product at the trial which started on March 3, 1911. The model was then popularly known as the Colt 1911 (ninetenth-eleven)
In these trials, the Colt design passed the gun firing 6000 rounds with continuous shooting per-100 grain bullet, with a 5-minute rest period, and gun cleaning every 1,000 rounds.
Once, passing these tests. The gun was mass produced, and given a code / serial Colt Model 1911 A1 (or the M1911-A1). Since then, the design of the gun did not (or not) never changed until now. The Colt 1911, often dubbed "A Mother of All Pistol"
So?
So, if you see the words, eq: '.. found a variety of weapons and revolvers FN .. "was wrong. Most of us, Indonesian people often show respect 'gun' as 'FN'. In fact FN is a name (brand) manufacturer of weapons in Belgium, 'Fabrique Nationalle' not the type of weapon.
FN term often mistakenly interpreted as a type of handgun. In fact FN is a brand gun. Not the type of weapon. Just like the brand (manufacturer), other weapons such as Colt, Smith & Wesson, Winchester, etc..
Fabrique Nationalle (FN) also produces a lot of other weapons like the FN - FAL, FN - FNC, FN - Minimi, etc..We would often hear the word 'gun' or 'revolver'. Unfortunately, many of us still often misunderstand the difference pistols and revolvers as a word that contains the same meaning.
In fact, in several print media such as newspapers, or magazines, ne still frequently encountered errors such understanding.
Sometimes referred to as FNtau revolver pistol called a revolver, etc.. Though both are types of handguns or weapons of different short barrel.
Handguns or short-barreled weapon commonly known as 'firearms' or 'handgun' till now categorized into 2 types, namely:
1. Gun
2. Revolver
Easy to distinguish. The gun uses magazine (storage bullet with a spring system that drives the bullet got into the trigger chamber (chamber)).
While Revolver bullets use a storage system with a rotary (revolve) which plays a bullet into the chamber trigger (chamber).
Physically, the pistol (handgun) look slimmer, because the storage space there is usually a bullet in the handgrip (grip) while the revolver bullet in the back keep the barrel.
Which one is better, until now still be debate. Both have their advantages and disadvantages of each. Until the problem of which one is better, will return to their respective users.
The gun believed to have fired a bullet faster the second, third, and so on. Revolver believed to be much faster in the process of refilling (reloading) when the bullets run out (he said) <g>.
History
Revolver
The first specimen of revolvers (with how they work similar to the existing revolver) was recorded was made in 1680 in England. Revolver Revolver is named Snaphaunce. Special weapons that are designed and built for John Dafte.
Elisha Collier, design patent Flinslock Revolver in the UK, in 1818. At almost the same time, a very similar design patented by Artemus Wheeler in the United States and Cornelius Coolidge in France. Who was the first, still not answered until today.
Samuel Colt, in 1830 (when he was 16 years old) began designing a new weapon concept with swivel system (revolve).
He obtained a patent for a Revolving Gun in the UK in 1835 and in America in 1836. In that year, he also began producing it in bulk revolving gun.
In 1839, 1848 and 1850, Samuel Colt continued to register and obtain a patent for his concept of a revolving gun currently known as revolvers.
With his expertise, many people strap on predicate inventor Samuel Colt revolver against.
Gun
The gun, believed to be designed by Samuel Colt and John Browning who designed the legendary Colt 1911 pistol in 1887.
The design of a weapon with a magazine system was initially designed for the American soldiers who feel overwhelmed using a .38 caliber revolver in the resistance against the Moro tribes in the Philippines.
With the new design and larger diameter bullet (cal. 45), gun taken from French 'pistolet' is designed to provide power hit (stopping power) is larger than .38 caliber revolver which was used by American soldiers.
9 9 mm Beretta Pistol / Personal Defense Weapon
The M9 Beretta pistol is the standard Army sidearm. It replaced the M1911A1 pistol in .45 caliber. It is basically a Beretta 92F pistol and fires the 9mm NATO round. A semiautomatic, double-action pistol, the M9 is more lethal, lighter, and safer than its predecessors. The M9 is carried by crew-served weapon crewmen and by others who have a personal defense requirement, such as law enforcement personnel and aviators. It replaces the M1911A1 .45 caliber pistol and the .38 caliber revolver. The M9 is a light weight, semiautomatic pistol manufactured by Beretta with has redundant automatic safety features to help prevent unintentional discharges. It can be fired in either double or single action mode and can be unloaded without activating the trigger while the safety is in the "on" position. The M9 pistol has a 15-round magazine, and may be fired without a magazine inserted. This weapon can have the hammer lowered from the cocked, "ready to fire," position to the uncocked position without activating the trigger by placing the thumb safety on the "on" position. The 9mm Pistol Program was a Congressionally-directed Non-Developmental Initiative to standardize DoD with NATO and field one handgun for all United States armed services. Beretta of Italy was awarded a multi-year contract for delivery of over 500,000 pistols. The contract award stipulated that production of the weapon must transition from Italian to US production after two years. The US Army is the lead service in this program.
